Compassionate Support for the Community
I hold AIM Awards qualifications in Psychotherapeutic Counselling skills. I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Accred) and receive professional supervision in accordance with the standards set by the Professional Standards Authority through the National Counselling Society.
Heidi Counselling Services is ably supported by Chanelle Muniko, who manages the day-to-day operations of HCS. Chanelle is a qualified Counselling Psychologist with an MSc in Clinical Psychology. In her role as an assistant psychologist within mental health settings, she works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, conducting assessments and liaising closely with other professionals.
A distinctive strength of Heidi Counselling Services lies in its collaborative essence, valuing the diverse skills that volunteers bring to the table.
By welcoming volunteers trained in different therapeutic modalities, the service is able to offer a truly holistic approach. Clients benefit not only from a range of perspectives but also from therapeutic techniques tailored to unique needs, including mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural methods, art and play therapy, Transaction analysis, Person Centred Therapy, somatic practices and many more. This tapestry of expertise enriches the support network, ensuring that healing is accessible, varied, and deeply personalised.
In addition to our diverse team of counsellors and volunteers, we also welcome professionals from a variety of backgrounds. These include lawyers, social workers, Human Resources, Supervisors, and wellbeing coaches, who contribute their unique expertise to our services.
Their involvement broadens the scope of support available and deepens the impact we can have on each person’s journey, ensuring that every client’s experience is comprehensive and truly holistic.
Looking ahead, I am inspired by a clear purpose: to reach and serve a greater number of individuals in need of mental health support every month. By expanding our outreach and strengthening our partnerships, the goal is to ensure that no one feels alone or unsupported on their path to emotional wellbeing.
With this vision in mind, we are actively seeking to open branches in other cities in the near future.
By expanding our presence, we hope to offer our holistic and person-centred approach to a wider community, ensuring that more individuals and families have access to the support and guidance they need.
Each new branch will embody the same commitment to inclusivity, compassion, and professional excellence that defines our work here at home.
